    What a co-host handles

What does an Airbnb co-host actually handle?

It depends on the property and the access you give. Airbnb offers different co-host permission levels, so depending on them a co-host may message guests, manage the calendar, update the listing, manage pricing and assist with reservations.

We agree the scope before onboarding, so there is no confusion about who handles what. The goal is not to take over your inbox. It is to build a more reliable operating system around the listing.

    Our Airbnb co-hosting can include

    • Listing review and optimization
    • Pricing and calendar management
    • Guest messaging and reservation communication
    • Check-in and checkout workflows
    • Cleaner coordination
    • Issue tracking and review monitoring
    • Owner reporting and performance observations
    What we manage

The work behind a well-run Airbnb

Five workflows, one operating system. You set the limits, we work inside them.

    1

    Airbnb listing optimization

Getting people onto the listing is half the job. The page has to give them the confidence to book.

    • Title, opening and full description
    • First photos and photo sequence
    • Amenities, sleeping arrangements, house rules
    • Check-in info, booking and minimum-stay settings
    • Common guest questions and competitor comparison
    2

    Pricing & calendar management

A good price is not a number you set once. Weekends, events and short gaps all behave differently.

    • Weekday, weekend and seasonal pricing
    • Minimum stays and gap nights
    • Last-minute and longer-stay settings
    • Upcoming occupancy and unbooked periods
    • You define the limits and approvals
    3

    Airbnb guest messaging

From the first question to departure, with templates for the routine and a real reply when it needs judgment.

    • Pre-booking questions and confirmations
    • Pre-arrival and check-in instructions
    • During-stay questions and escalation
    • Checkout reminders and post-stay follow-up
    • Review monitoring and response coordination
    4

    Cleaner & turnover coordination

Your cleaner is local. The coordination does not have to stay on your phone.

    • Checkout and arrival details
    • Scheduling and turnover instructions
    • Completion updates and supply flags
    • Back-to-back stays and delayed-clean escalation
    • Cleanliness issues reported by guests
    5

    Issue tracking

Small problems become repeat problems when nobody owns the follow-up.

    • Damaged items, lock or maintenance concerns
    • Missing supplies and unclear instructions
    • Cleaner-reported problems
    • Escalation to you or a local vendor
    • A clear operational history for the property
    6

    Owner reporting

See what was handled without scrolling through Airbnb messages and WhatsApp threads.

    • Guest and turnover status
    • Pricing and calendar reviews
    • Review observations
    • Open decisions and recommended actions

We do not guarantee occupancy or revenue. The goal is a calendar that is actively managed rather than left on autopilot. Get your Airbnb listing reviewed

    Beyond the inbox

More than an Airbnb inbox assistant

Replying to messages is useful, but it does not run an Airbnb. A listing can have fast responses and still suffer from:

weak presentationpoor calendar settingsstale pricingunsold gapsinconsistent turnoversunresolved guest issuesrepeated review problems

    Listing performance

We improve how clearly and convincingly the property is presented.

    Pricing & calendar

Rates, restrictions and availability stay under regular review.

    Guest operations

We manage the communication path around every reservation.

    Property workflows

We coordinate the remote side of turnovers, issues and reporting.

    Remote owners

    Airbnb co-hosting for remote owners

Whether you live in another city or country, or simply do not want your day built around Airbnb notifications, it works when responsibilities are clear.

Thrive Hosts handles the digital and coordination side. Your local cleaner, maintenance provider or emergency contact handles what needs someone on site. Remote operating support plus reliable local execution.

    Multiple listings

    Airbnb co-hosting for multiple listings

The workload does not grow neatly when the second or third Airbnb goes live: more messages, check-ins, calendars, turnovers, pricing decisions and reviews.

We use repeatable workflows, so you can start with one property and keep the same structure as you add listings. Discuss your Airbnb portfolio

    Fit check

Is Thrive Hosts the right Airbnb co-host for you?

    A strong fit

    It may suit you if

    • Airbnb is taking too much of your day
    • You own the property remotely
    • Guest messages interrupt work or sleep
    • Pricing and calendar are not reviewed consistently
    • Your cleaner needs better reservation coordination
    • Problems get lost between stays
    • You are growing from one Airbnb into several
    Probably not a fit

We may not be right if

    • You expect guaranteed revenue or occupancy
    • You need us to physically clean or inspect the property
    • Safety or major maintenance problems are unresolved
    • There is no reliable local contact for physical emergencies
    • You want to give up every owner decision
    • You are unwilling to provide the access the work needs

Clarity before onboarding saves problems later.

    FAQ

    Airbnb co-hosting questions, answered

    What is an Airbnb co-host?

An Airbnb co-host is someone a listing owner adds to help with hosting. Depending on the permissions granted, a co-host may message guests, view or manage the calendar, update the listing, manage pricing and support reservations.

What can Thrive Hosts manage as my Airbnb co-host?

Our scope can include listing optimization, pricing and calendar reviews, guest communication, cleaner coordination, issue tracking, review monitoring and owner reporting. The exact responsibilities are agreed before onboarding.

Will I still own my Airbnb listing?

Yes. The listing stays yours. Airbnb lets owners add co-hosts, choose their permissions, and change or remove that access later.

Do I need to give you my Airbnb password?

No. Our preferred setup is official Airbnb co-host access with the right permissions, not routine password sharing.

Can a co-host answer my Airbnb guests?

Yes, if the right messaging permissions are granted. Airbnb currently allows both full-access and calendar-and-messaging co-hosts to message guests.

Can an Airbnb co-host change pricing?

A full-access co-host can manage price settings and calendar availability under Airbnb’s current permissions. With Thrive Hosts, pricing limits and decision rules are agreed with you beforehand.

Can you optimize my Airbnb listing as part of co-hosting?

Yes. Listing optimization can be part of onboarding and ongoing management. We review the content, photos, amenities, settings and guest-facing information that shape how clearly the property is presented.

    Do you manage Airbnb cleaners?

We coordinate your approved cleaner remotely: reservation details, turnover timing, completion updates and issues. We do not perform the physical cleaning.

Can you co-host my Airbnb if I live overseas?

Potentially, yes. Remote owners are a main use case, provided the property has local support for cleaning, maintenance and physical emergencies.

Do you guarantee more Airbnb bookings?

No. Bookings depend on demand, location, pricing, property quality, competition, reviews and seasonality. We improve and manage the parts of the operating system within the agreed scope.
